Sharjah First festival of old cars launch date in 2024

Sharjah, a hub of cultural and historical significance, is set to launch an eagerly anticipated annual festival dedicated to vintage cars, commencing in January 2024.

Annual Vintage Car Festival in January 2024

The Board of Directors of the Sharjah Old Cars Club (SOCC), under the direction of Dr. Ali Ahmed Abu Al Zawd, Chairman of the Board, met during its second periodic meeting and made a significant decision. The distinguished members Saeed Ghanim Al Suwaidi, Dr. Faisal Juma Al Hosani, Saud Ali Al Matroushi, Ahmed Hamad Al Suwaidi, Badr Mohammed Saab Al Ali, and Saeed Mohammed bin Ashour, Executive Director of the club, were all present, as well as Vice-Chairman of the Board Dr. Mohammed Butti bin Obaid Al Hajri.

Set to make its debut in January 2024, the eagerly awaited annual specialized festival for vintage automobiles will provide a recurrent platform for enthusiasts and curious minds to congregate. This auspicious event will kindle the passion for classic cars and foster camaraderie among aficionados.

The meeting also delved into a comprehensive discussion encompassing the strategic plan's objectives and various developmental initiatives. Key focal points encompassed the expansion and enhancement of the technical workshop, streamlining maintenance procedures, enriching avenues for investment, and a comprehensive review of past achievements.

The Board, with unanimous consensus, greenlit a series of forthcoming local engagements, including active participation in the distinguished Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, as well as the Auto Moto Show. These initiatives underscore SOCC's dedication to engaging with a diverse range of events, further enhancing its presence in the broader community.
