Emirates ID renewal fees and process for Pakistani nationals
A guide for Pakistani nationals on the Emirates ID renewal procedure and associated expenses
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) is currently issuing Emirates ID cards, which may be obtained by citizens of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as well as foreign people residing in other countries, including Pakistan.
Emirates ID renewal fees and process
It is required by law for everyone living in the United Arab Emirates, both nationals and residents, to have a valid Emirates ID, which they must have on their person at all times. This identification card grants holders access to a variety of governmental and public services.
Individuals who hold an Emirates ID card that has expired have a grace period of thirty days from the date of expiration during which they may renew the card without being subject to any penalties for renewing it late. The procedure for renewal may be accessed via the official website of the ICP, the ICP mobile app, which can be downloaded from Google Play, the App Store, or Huawei, or by authorized typing centers.
In addition, it is possible that some candidates may be required to provide their biometric information in person at an ICP service center.
The opportunity for renewing an Emirates ID begins to open six months before the card's expiration date and remains available until one month before the card's expiration date for UAE citizens. On the other hand, those who already have a UAE resident visa are only eligible to submit a renewal application if their residence visa is currently being renewed or reissued.
Emirates ID renewal fees
The process of renewing an Emirates ID card incurs multiple fees for Pakistani expatriates. These fees include a card issuance fee of AED 100 for a validity period of five years, a service fee of AED 150, a typing center fee of AED 30, and an additional AED 150 for urgent service requests, which can be carried out at customer happiness centres.
This procedure not only guarantees that people' Emirates ID cards continue to be valid but also makes it easier for them to use the services and advantages that come with having an Emirates ID card, which contributes to the efficient operation of day-to-day life in the UAE.
