Etihad Airways and Scandinavian airlines have signed a strategic codeshare agreement to increase the number of travel alternatives available across their respective destination networks.

A new agreement between SAS and Etihad Airways

Paul VerHagen, executive vice president and Chief Commercial Officer of SAS, said:" We are delighted with the opportunity of the new codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways, Through this partnership, SAS customers will have access to an expanded range of flight options to Abu Dhabi and beyond, including flights to India, Seychelles, Sri Lanka and others. The cooperation between Etihad Airways and SAS in the Etihad frequent flyer guest program will also be strengthened as a result of this agreement, which also improves the relationship between the two companies.

The codeshare agreement is scheduled to enter into force at the end of December 2023. From January 2024, consumers will be able to book their flights through Etihad Airways ' various booking channels, such as the website and travel agents.
