"With all airlines now operating from Terminal A, I am pleased to announce a new era for operations at Abu Dhabi International Airport," said Elena Sorlini, managing director and acting chief executive officer of Abu Dhabi Airports. "It is with great pleasure that I make this announcement." Terminal A will bring about a significant improvement in the passenger experience by introducing new facilities that are state-of-the-art and a significant increase in aviation capacity. Additionally, it will make it possible for foreign airlines to substantially expand their presence in Abu Dhabi.
The ceremony that will officially mark the inauguration of Terminal A is scheduled to take place on February 9, 2024. There will be a change in the name of the airport to Zayed International Airport once this occurs.
