A merchant resorts to the judiciary in the Emirates to obtain the price of his products

Because the defendant purchased items such as , shampoo, soap, oils, and other items from the merchant, the plaintiff filed a lawsuit against the defendant, demanding that the defendant be required to pay him a total of 13,980 dirhams, and in compensation 2,000 dirhams with a legal interest of 12% until full payment, and obliging him to pay fees and expenses. The plaintiff also noted that the defendant was required to pay fees and expenses. An agreement was reached between the two of them, and after a period of six months had passed since the day on which the contract was set up, the defendant paid a portion of the money. However, the defendant did not show up to the case, despite having been notified in accordance with the legal requirements and having paid at least a portion of the claimed sum. Reviewing the contract supports the claim that the plaintiff is entitled to an amount of 34,000 dirhams for the price of household items that the defendant bought from him. This contract bears the signature of its issuance attributed to the defendant and is not contested by any appellant; as a result, it is an argument against the defendant for the amounts stated in it, indicating that the plaintiff decided in his favor. The court explained this reasoning in the merits of its ruling. The defendant made a partial payment, thus out of the total amount that is specified in the contract and the claim document, there is still a balance owed to the defendant in the amount of 13,980 dirhams. Therefore, what has been established by the court is that the first party is currently responsible for paying the claimed amount of the second party's obligation.

Punishment for a man who bought shampoo and soap and did not pay the money in the Emirates

The court stated that the defendant did not appear, either in person or by an agent on his behalf, despite his legal notification, in order to defend the lawsuit with any plea or defense that he may have, and he did not prove to the court that he was absolved of the amount claimed, so long as the lawsuit before him was valid and established, and the plaintiff must respond to the claim. The court also indicated that the plaintiff must respond to the claim. His demand, as well as the judgment he obtained against the defendant for the amount that was demanded. Regarding the claim for compensation in the amount of 2,000 dirhams, the court pointed out that it was proven that the defendant had failed to implement his obligation to fulfill the rest of the value of the amount mentioned in the contract, which constitutes a mistake that requires liability against him, and the plaintiff was harmed as a result of the seizure of his money. In addition, the court stated that it was proven that the plaintiff had been harmed as a result of the defendant's failure to fulfill his obligation. The defendant has suffered damage in the form of missed wages, the loss that he incurred as a result of not benefiting from the amount, as well as the anguish and misery that befell him as a result of what happened. The court has determined that the sum of one thousand dirhams is sufficient compensation for all of the losses. The court decided that the defendant should be required to pay the plaintiff 14,980 dirhams based on the reasons that were given. Because of the expenses, we had to decline every other request.
