UAE Launches "Gallant Knight 3" Operation to Aid Palestinians in Gaza

The president's directive entails the close coordination of the Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defense with several prominent UAE institutions. This includes cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and other entities in the UAE known for their humanitarian efforts. The objective is to deliver essential support and relief to the Palestinian people, who have been grappling with the consequences of the recent conflict.
Medical and volunteer opportunities
Furthermore, the UAE's leader has also called for opportunities for medical professionals registered with the Ministry of Health and Prevention and the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi. Volunteers affiliated with the Emirates Red Crescent and various other humanitarian and charitable organizations in the UAE are also encouraged to participate in these relief efforts.
Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza
The situation in Gaza remains deeply concerning, with the local health ministry reporting a significant loss of life. As of now, it is reported that at least 9,770 individuals have lost their lives in the Palestinian territory during the recent conflict with Israel.
Tragically, this number includes approximately 4,800 children. Following the attacks carried out by Hamas militants in southern Israel on October 7, retaliatory measures led to the conflict. Israeli officials assert that these attacks resulted in the deaths of over 1,400 people, the majority of whom were civilians.
Continuing UAE humanitarian initiatives
It's noteworthy that this isn't the first time the UAE President has mobilized the Joint Operations Command for a humanitarian cause. Previously, the "Gallant Knight 2" operation was launched to extend assistance to the people of Syria and Turkey in the aftermath of a devastating earthquake.
